This policy explains what personal data Pin Destinations collects, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have — including the right to access and erase your data.
1. Data we collect
Contact and identity details you give us: name, email, phone, and — where a booking requires it — passport number and passport/visa scans and travel dates.
Booking and payment records (amounts, references, itineraries). We do not store full card numbers; card payments are handled by our PCI-compliant payment partners.
Basic usage data (pages visited, device type) to run and improve the site.
2. Why we use it
To arrange and deliver the travel services you request (issue tickets, vouchers, visas), to take payment, to provide customer support, and to send you booking confirmations and trip information.
With your consent, to send occasional offers. You can opt out at any time.
3. Sharing
We share only what is necessary with the suppliers who fulfil your booking: airlines, GDS/ticketing systems, hotels, park authorities, and embassies for visa applications. We share payment data with our payment processors.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Security & retention
Access to your records is restricted to authorised staff. Sensitive documents such as passport scans are stored privately and are never publicly accessible.
We keep booking records for as long as needed for the trip and for legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them. Passport scans are removed once they are no longer needed for your booking.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Signed-in customers can request erasure directly from the account area, or email hello@pin.co.tz. We will action verified requests and remove your stored documents and personal details, keeping only what the law requires us to retain (for example anonymised financial records).
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run the site securely, and minimal analytics to understand traffic. We do not use advertising trackers. See the cookie notice on the site.
