Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated 24 July 2026
How changes, cancellations, and refunds work for bookings made with Pin Destinations. Supplier rules (airlines, lodges, parks) apply on top of this policy and are sometimes stricter.
1. How to cancel or change
Contact our desk as early as possible: hello@pin.co.tz or WhatsApp +255 712 345 678. Cancellations and changes take effect only when we confirm them in writing.
2. Flights
Airline tickets follow the fare rules of the airline. Many fares are non-refundable or carry change fees and fare differences. Where a refund is permitted by the airline, we pass it on less any airline penalty and our service fee.
Government taxes on wholly unused tickets are usually recoverable where the airline allows it.
3. Safaris, tours & packages
Because we reserve vehicles, guides, park permits, and lodges in advance, cancellations are subject to the following typical scale (final terms are confirmed at booking):
More than 60 days before travel: refund of amounts paid, less a deposit and our service fee. 30–60 days: up to 50% may be non-refundable. Less than 30 days or no-show: generally non-refundable due to committed supplier costs.
Peak-season and fly-in safaris may be non-refundable from the time of confirmation.
4. Hotels
Hotel cancellations follow each property's policy (free-cancellation windows vary). We show the applicable terms before you pay.
5. Visas
Consular and embassy fees are paid to the authorities and are non-refundable once an application is submitted. Our processing fee is non-refundable once work has begun.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within a reasonable period after we recover funds from the supplier. Mobile-money and card timelines depend on the provider.
We recommend travel insurance to cover cancellations outside these terms (illness, disruption).
7. Our commitment
If we cancel a confirmed service for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund of amounts paid to us for that service. We are not liable for supplier failures or events beyond our reasonable control, which is why insurance matters.
